Sri Agastiya Maharishi explained that there no medicine for curse and sins except annadhanam / annadharmam. He differentiated the dhanam and dharmam, where dhanam is performed with some expectation on return but dharmam is done without any expectation and thereby it indirectly dispels the sins.
Annadharmam is being carried out at Panchaputheswaram on all the days (24x7) and devotees consider it as "prasatham" (holy food) of Sri Maha Panchamukha Prathyangiraa Devi.
Subject to no direction the cooking and serving are monitored by the Ambal herself since there are no specified labours engaged till this day to execute the works. The devotees pour all raw materials without any demand as an offering to the Ambal, which is again Her desire to accumulate the needed raw food material on Her own.The demand and supply is by natural law at Panchaputheswaram
Apart from Panchaputheswaram, the Mother - the Provider extends her hands of Annadharmam to Aavudaiyar Koil, Idaikattur, Karaikkal, Idiyamelur, Karur, Singambunari, Aliyanilai, etc., and to continue in many parts of Tamil Nadu and India.
